New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston is on the brink of signing a three-year contract extension Wednesday afternoon, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Colston, a seventh-round draft pick in the 2006 NFL draft, emerged as the Saints No. 1 receiver the past two seasons. He led the Saints last season with 98 catches for 1,202 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The Saints also signed fifth-round pick offensive lineman Carl Nicks to a three-year deal on Wednesday.
